Every 24-hour veterinary emergency hospital has the same problem, every single day. It keeps the lobby full for hours, it eats more of the front desk's time than anything else, and it sits behind most of the clinic's one-star reviews. I spent a whole day in one of those lobbies with our cat and watched a room full of owners go through it with me. The clinic was not badly run and the doctors' way of prioritising cases made complete sense.
